The stripping header is a device designed for threshing plants at the root. It consists of a frame on which the front rotor (behind beater), stripping rotor, and auger conveyor are mounted. The beater and rotor are equipped with combs.
The behind beater (front rotor) is intended to divert the grains and transport them into the auger cavity.
The stripping rotor performs the function of directly stripping the plants at the root. The rotation of both rotors towards each other helps create a vacuum effect necessary for aligning the plant stems in the stripping zone.
The auger transfer is designed for transferring the grain mass to the feeder house. It is equipped with a torque-limiting clutch which prevents failure of all the drive mechanisms if the auger is blocked.
The working area of the rotors and auger is enclosed by covers to prevent grain (seed) loss.
The header’s working elements are driven by a cardan shaft and chain drives, equipped with overrunning and starting clutches.
The header is aggregated with combine harvesters by mounting it on the feeder house of the combine.
The operating principle of the header involves threshing plants at the root by stripping them with combs located on the stripping rotor of the header. The plant stem is captured by the combs and pulled through the gap between their teeth, releasing the grain (seeds).
The resulting crop mass, consisting of 80% free grain (seeds), is moved by inertia and airflow towards the auger, which then feeds it into the feeder house of the combine for final threshing and separation.

Economic advantages of the Slavyanka UAS stripper headers
- The header’s stripping operation principle enables reduction of fuel consumption by 40 % or more for 1 ton of grain harvested.
- Small number of quick-wearing units and parts makes it possible to minimize the operation expenses.
- High purity of grain-tank grain reduces expenses for its improvement.
- Headers can be aggregated not only with new, but also with worn-out harvesters, thus increasing their efficiency by 1.5-2.0 times.
Operational advantages of the Slavyanka UAS stripper headers
- Stripper headers are multifunctional. They may be used for harvesting many grain and forage crops.
- Headers are characterized with great productivity and high operation speed, which enables considerable reduction of harvesting periods.
- Efficient harvesting on fields with laid down plants.
- Minimal mechanic impact on grain, which ensures low content of damaged grain.
Technical advantages of the Slavyanka UAS stripper headers
- Simplicity of control and structure.
- Absence of special adjustments and settings in operation.
- Increased durability and reliability.
